The Green Party offers a principled alternative to the dominant parties. Greens are individual citizens committed to ten
key fundamental values -- values that have been essentially
abandoned by the two major parties in their quest for campaign
contributions by corporations and relatively few politically well
connected big-money donors. The Green Party of Spokane County was initiated in late 1999. Green politics is an exercise in finding unity in diversity. We are a multifaceted, international movement, working within communities and electoral systems for a better future. Green parties around the world are rooted in citizen efforts aimed at correcting conditions that provoke violence among people and nations, and at opposing practices that do violence against the Earth and all her creatures.
